Course Start March 6 • 12 weeks • A1 level

Learn Portuguese once and for all, together with a small group of highly motivated people – and have fun along the way!

This course has teacher-led sessions on-site at Albufeira Coworking and extra voluntary group study sessions and happenings. We aim to have a structured learning path and practice our speaking skills. There will be a lot of work outside of the teacher-led classes, but we are here to help each other out. The aim is to learn the A1 level; if we are fast enough, we will cover the A2 level, too (around four classes).

Course overview

Week 1-2: Introduction to Portuguese Basics

Week 3-4: Building Vocabulary

Week 5-6: Survival Phrases

Week 7-8: Grammar Basics

Week 9-10: Expanding Communication Skills

Week 11-12: Practical Communication

Final exam: A1 Level Exam Written and oral covering greetings, basic vocabulary, survival phrases, and simple sentence construction.

Course dates
The course starts March 6, and ends 12 weeks after. Teacher-led sessions every Wednesday 18.00-20.00.

Who are you
Complete beginner, or you know words and phrases already – but just don’t get the hang of start talking. You need more structure in your learning journey, and are highly motivated to learn Portuguese.

What can I expect to learn from A1 level?

At the A1 level in Portuguese, learners focus on basic communication skills, covering greetings, introductions, and simple conversations about personal information and daily routines. They acquire fundamental vocabulary for common objects, numbers, and time, while also grasping basic grammar structures and sentence formation. Cultural aspects related to Portuguese-speaking countries are introduced, providing a foundation for further language proficiency.

What happens if I miss any class?

We will keep you updated on what you missed, so you will still be on track. You will still be charged the full amount.

Do I have to attend outside teacher-led activities?

You are not forced to; it’s just a voluntary add-on to keep you motivated and accountable. You can pop in on any activities you feel like doing!

How much do I need to know before this course?

The course is for absolute beginners, but if you have some knowledge from before and want to get back on track, you are very welcome to join.

How does it work with payments?
